Every stuck piece of writing is stuck for a reason. The difficulty is that, from inside the draft, it can be hard to see what that reason is.

You may know something is not working, but not know why. So you reread the same pages, rearrange material without getting anywhere, or set the project aside for months at a time.

My job is to identify the underlying problems and help you determine what to do next, so you can move forward with clarity instead of continuing to spin your wheels.

Sometimes the problem is conceptual: the piece is not yet clear about what it is really about or why the story matters. Sometimes it’s structural: the narrative arc is weak, the pacing drags, or the draft lacks momentum and direction. Other times, the voice needs sharpening, material needs cutting, scenes need deepening, or the whole thing feels flat, scattered, or unfinished.

I work with writers at every stage, from early ideas and partial drafts to polished essays and full-length manuscripts. I also offer guidance on publishing, positioning, and marketing, helping writers think beyond the draft and consider how their work will reach readers.

I bring this perspective as both an author and an experienced developmental editor and book coach, with more than 15 years of professional writing and editing experience. I have published two #1 Amazon bestselling books, ghostwritten and edited books for internationally recognized experts and bestselling authors, and mentored hundreds of writers through the process of developing, revising, and publishing their work.

My approach is direct and straightforward. I am not going to give you vague encouragement and send you back to the page confused. I will be honest about what is not working, show you how to strengthen it, and help you move forward with a clear plan.
